Seeing the Familiar Differently.

I’m Andreas Hundeborn, a photographer based in Cologne, Germany.

My journey into photography began in the early 2000s with the birth of my son. What started as a way to preserve family memories gradually became something much more.

Over time, photography evolved from documenting moments into a way of slowing down, observing more carefully and seeing the world with greater intention.

Like many journeys, mine hasn’t been a straight line. After taking a few breaks over the years, I returned with a clearer understanding of what photography means to me.

Today, it isn’t about chasing spectacular locations or waiting for perfect conditions. It’s about discovering atmosphere, light and structure in places that many people simply pass by.

My work focuses on Architecture, Urban, Landscape, Street and Long Exposure Photography.

I’m inspired by clean lines, minimalist compositions and the quiet dialogue between light and space. Long exposure has become an important part of my visual language, allowing movement to disappear and revealing a sense of calm that often goes unnoticed.

Whether I’m exploring a new city, travelling or photographing in my hometown of Cologne, I enjoy looking beyond the obvious. Every place has its own character—sometimes all it takes is a different perspective to reveal it.

PROJECTS & COLLABORATIONS

Some experiences stay with you long after the last photograph has been taken. These projects challenged the way I think, encouraged me to experiment and continue to influence the way I approach photography today.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Creative Photography Project

The Bigger Picture was a collaborative photography project built around a simple yet inspiring concept. At regular intervals, every participant drew two cards from a specially designed deck. The combination of those cards became the creative brief for the next photograph.

Interpreting unexpected themes pushed me beyond familiar routines and encouraged me to explore subjects from entirely new perspectives. The project reminded me that creativity often begins where certainty ends—and that limitations can become a powerful source of inspiration.

CLAUDIA – BUSINESS PORTRAITS

Business Portrait Project

Claudia was a business portrait project created to develop an authentic and professional visual identity. The goal wasn’t simply to produce business headshots, but to create portraits that reflected personality, confidence and authenticity.

Working closely together reinforced something I believe is essential in portrait photography: meaningful portraits are built on trust, communication and a relaxed atmosphere just as much as they are on technical skill.

RECOGNITION & GROWTH

Photography continues to be a journey of learning, curiosity and personal growth. Taking part in photography competitions has become an important part of that journey—not simply to gain recognition, but to challenge myself, receive independent feedback and continue refining my own visual language.

The awards and recognitions I’ve received are milestones rather than destinations. They encourage me to keep exploring, keep learning and remain true to the way I see the world through my camera.

Every image reminds me that the familiar can always be seen differently.
