MY CITY
Cologne Through My Eyes
Cologne is my city. But living in a place does not necessarily mean that we truly see it.
With this project, I want to explore Cologne beyond its familiar landmarks and postcard views. I want to discover the city through my own perspective — through its architecture, urban spaces, lines, reflections, contrasts and unexpected moments.
Sometimes, it may be a well-known building. At other times, it may be a small detail, a particular arrangement of shapes, or the way light transforms an ordinary street corner.
I don’t want to document everything Cologne has to offer. I want to discover what draws my attention and understand why certain scenes stay with me.
There are no restrictions on lenses, subjects or photographic techniques. The only guiding principle is that each image should reflect my personal way of seeing the city.
As this project develops, I hope to move beyond simply photographing places and become more intentional about expressing my own interpretation of them.
Because a city is never just what we see.
It is also how we see it.
My city. My perspective. An ongoing discovery.
